Since his inauguration into the 10th National Assembly, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, SAN, representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, has continued to distinguish himself as a legislator with exceptional vision, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents. 


His remarkable performance in lawmaking, oversight functions, constituency development, empowerment initiatives, and human capital development has earned him the reputation of being a senator with the Midas Touch.


As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, Senator Adegbonmire has played a pivotal role in advancing legislative reforms aimed at strengthening Nigeria's democratic institutions, promoting justice, enhancing the rule of law, and improving governance led to his appointment by the president of the senate, Sen. Goodwill Akpabio as chairman senate Ad-hoc panel committee on the review of the 2026 Electoral Bill.


Through his sponsorship and support of several life-changing bills and motions, he has demonstrated a commitment to addressing critical national and local challenges.


The Bills include: Bill for the Establishment of Federal University of Agriculture, Akure Ondo State ;

Bill for the Establishment of Federal University Akure, Teaching Hospital ;

Bill for the Establishment of Federal University of Art,Culture, Science;

Motion on urgent need for the construction of Ode- Omifunfun- Ofosu Road in Idanre LGA of Ondo State to link Ondo State with Edo State among others


Beyond the legislative chamber, Senator Adegbonmire has effectively carried out his oversight responsibilities, ensuring transparency, accountability, and the proper implementation of government projects and policies. His interventions have contributed significantly to attracting federal presence and development projects to Ondo Central Senatorial District.


In the area of constituency development, Senator Adegbonmire's impact has been visible across the six Local Government Areas of Ondo Central. His numerous constituency projects have improved the quality of life of thousands of residents. 


These include construction of multimillion naira projects at Oyemekun Grammar School Akure, projects executed include 500 seated multipurpose halls, Building of 12 Classroom blocks, construction and equipment of the science laboratory ;

construction of 12 blocks of classrooms at St. Helens Unity Secondary School, Ondo, Ondo West LGA;

renovation of St. Andrew and St. Thomas Primary School, Akure ;

construction and renovation of Fagbo Community Comprehensive High School, Fagbo Town, Ondo East LGA ;

construction of Modern Class Room at L.A. Primary School, Owobamibo Ofosu, Idanre.


The healthcare sector has also witnessed substantial interventions under his representation.


Through the construction, renovation, and equipping of health centres and hospitals, Senator Adegbonmire has contributed immensely to improving access to quality healthcare services for rural and urban communities alike among such were the renovation of Ifelodun Community Basic Health Center, FUTA North, Akure South and

renovation of Ifelodun Community Basic Health Center, FUTA North, Akure South.


Recognizing the importance of human capital development, the distinguished senator has embarked on one of the most extensive empowerment programmes in the history of Ondo Central.


Through his mega empowerment initiatives, thousands of constituents have benefited from the distribution of working tools, business grants, vocational equipment, and financial support aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and economic self-reliance.


His commitment to youth and women development is particularly noteworthy. 


Through various skill acquisition and vocational training programmes, numerous youths and women have been trained in diverse trades and empowered with starter packs to establish their own businesses. These interventions have created sustainable means of livelihood and reduced unemployment across the senatorial district.


Senator Adegbonmire has also facilitated employment opportunities for qualified constituents in federal agencies and institutions, opening doors for many young professionals and strengthening the economic prospects of families across Ondo Central.


In addressing the challenges of water supply and rural electrification, the senator has facilitated the installation of solar-powered boreholes in several communities, providing residents with access to clean and safe drinking water. Likewise, the provision of solar-powered street lights and solar energy solutions has enhanced security, boosted economic activities, and improved living conditions in many communities.


His interventions in infrastructure development extend to roads, community projects, public facilities, and other critical amenities that directly impact the daily lives of the people. 


These projects have been strategically distributed across the six Local Government Areas of Ondo Central, ensuring equitable development and inclusive representation.
